Tony Moore, Chief Strategic Relations Officer & Interim Chief Talent Officer Eckerd
Tony Moore plays a vital role at Eckerd serving as both Chief Strategic Relations Officer and Interim Chief Talent Officer. As Chief Strategic Relations Officer, Tony plans and executes all Mergers & Acquisitions and business development processes. Eckerd is embarking upon a journey to merge missions with like-minded not-for-profit organizations for the purpose of scaling success and increasing impact; as such Tony supports key functions in identifying integration priorities, developing and executing an integration strategy and driving day one readiness.
Tony is tasked with ensuring operational excellence by coaching and mentoring leaders, providing oversight for the continued evolution of Eckerd’s 5-Dimensional Leadership Development program, and establishing processes and practices whereby all leaders receive the support necessary to be successful. Tony also uses his abundant enthusiasm to act as an Eckerd spokesperson, regularly presenting at local and national conferences regarding the organization’s transformation, the Eckerd Rapid Safety Feedback® data analytic tool, child-welfare privatization, leadership and operation strategies and other topics.
Tony is also the organization’s Interim Chief Talent Officer, a position he held previously for multiple years. As Chief Talent Officer, Tony revolutionized Eckerd’s Human Resources Department by establishing talent management practices to attract, develop, motivate and retain exceptional staff. This included oversight of Eckerd U, the organization’s learning and performance system. Under his leadership, Eckerd has been recognized as a Top 50 Employer of Students and Alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
For more than 20 years Tony has held multiple leadership positions in social service agencies whose primary focus has been the health and well-being of children. After spending several years working directly with children and youth, Tony came to recognize that although he had a heart for children, his greatest passion was the growth and development of his fellow employees. Tony has an MS in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Tech University and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
